Lavaltrie
Lavaltrie is a city of the Quebec, located in the regional Municipalité of county D' Autray, in the administrative area of Lanaudière. Lavaltrie is the city populeuses of the MRC of Autray.
It was rested by the lieutenant Séraphin Margane de Lavaltrie in 1672. The first mayor of Lavaltrie, after the abolition of the mode ségneurial is Jean Baptiste Hétu.
In 1927, the city is divided into two distinct territories (parish and village). May 16th, 2001, following fusions, Lavaltrie will be managed by only one municipal council.
Lavaltrie is the main door of the MRC of Autray. In edge of the river, the city offers exceptional sites. Today the town of Lavaltrie counts 12.306 inhabitants.
