who refused to take part in the massacre of the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre.

Joseph Paganon (1880-1937), grandfather of the current mayor was minister many times. He thus could carry out many works: road leading to the
Alpe d' Huez, road of the balcony of
Belledonne… Peu before its death, work of a road of Laval until Rivier d' Allemont (to reach Oisans) had largely begun, but were never finished, the war having stopped any advance. A place bears its name in the center of the villages of Alpe d' Huez and Laval.
