Lauro Müller (Santa Catarina)

Lauro Müller is a city Brésil ienne south of the State of Santa Catarina. It is located by a Latitude of 28º 23 ' 34" south and by a Longitude of 49º 23 ' 48" west, with a Altitude of 220 meters. Its population was estimated at: 13359 inhabitants in 2006. The municipality extends on 271 km ².

General information

In spite of its name with Germanic consonance , the city was especially colonized by Italy NS at the end of the 19th century. In 1827 began the exploitation of the coal, very abundant in the area, but the economy developed really only with the arrival of Italian at the end of the century.
