Laurent Terzieff is a French actor born the June 27th 1935 with Toulouse (France).

Biography

Wire of a Plastics technician and a Russian sculptor, having emigrated in France during the First World War, the young person Laurent Terzieff, at nine years in 1944, is marked by the spectacle of the Bombardement S. Adolescent impassioned by philosophy and poetry, it assists, fascinated, with the representation of the Sonate of the spectra of Strindberg, directed by Roger Blin. It then decides to become Acteur. It makes its beginnings on scene in 1953 with the Théâtre of Babylon of Jean-Marie Serreau in All against all of Adamov, author-fetish of an actor who, throughout his career, influences contemporary writers of plays (Milosz, Schisgal).

Laurent Terzieff owes part of his success with Marcel Carné, a reference in televised fictions, in the business Weidmann , then in one of the main roles of Tricheurs , a portrait of youth Existentialiste. Its first appearance with the screen, in 1958, brings a strong notoriety, the public to him the identifier with the character of the student gipsy and cynical. It continues with Claude Autant-Lara (three films, of which You will not kill , portrait of a conscientious opponent in 1961) and Clouzot with Captive the , in which it interprets an artist manipulator who does not prevent himself from disparaging the director himself.

Partner of Brigitte Bardot in In heart joy , this young man “superb” with the dark glance plays a hooligan in the Boys of Bolognini (1959), a film written by Pasolini which entrusts to him later the role of the Centaur in Médée . Solicited by the best Italian directors, Terzieff incarnates in 1961 a revolutionist in Vanina Vanini of Rossellini and appears in 1976 in the Désert of the Tartars of Zurlini. In France, Buñuel takes it on the road of Compostelle in Milky Way/the Milky Way in 1969. Terzieff crosses obviously other poets: Garrel (four films of which the Revealing one, turned in full May 1968), and Godard (with Detective in 1985). But since the Years 1980, it is more rarely on the screens, and more often with the theater, with its troop, founded in 1961. It appears all the same in various roles, as trotskist in Rouge kiss , and like anarchist in Germinal in 1993. At 70 years, the actor with the émacié face did not lose anything of his magnetism: as its phantom appearance in My little finger told me… Pascal Thomas in 2005 proves it.
