Laurent Outside

Laurent Dehors is a Clarinettiste and Saxophoniste of Jazz French born in 1964.

It enters to the conservatory of Rouen in class of Clarinette, and obtains a first price out of clarinet and musical theory. It obtains also a license of musicology.

Laurent Dehors is a very prolific musician, as well on the level of the discography, as from his scenic appearances. He is poly-instrumentalist, clarinettist of formation, he regularly uses the low clarinet, and the clarinet double bass. He also has a perfect command of the Saxophone, on which he privileges the tenor and the soprano. It is one of the rare French musicians, with Louis Sclavis, to use in quasi-equal proportion the two instruments. It uses also the Cornemuse.

He is the leader of the Big band All Outside , which in particular revealed the saxophonist Christophe Monniot and the guitarist David Chevallier. He carries out also face several trio, the Trio Large, with Michel Massot and Michel Debrulle, and a trio with David Chevallier and Louis Moutin, replaced since by Eric Thielemans.

It is also a much in demand Sideman, by Michel Portal, Antoine Herve, Daniel Goyone, Jean-Marie Machado, Didier Levallet, Stéphan Oliva, Yves Robert.

Laurent Dehors also devotes himself to teaching, the academy of Rouen, like in other establishments of the Rouennaise area, and gives regularly Masters classes (for example with the jazz festival of the Villette in 2003).
