Biography

It was born the December 29th 1967 with Mézériat, Ain, close to Borough-in-Bresse.

It is only sons.

At 5 years, it starts already its first imitations: its " victimes" are then Michel Sardou, Jacques Dutronc or certain characters of the Small house in the meadow.

In spite of a rather calm temperament, he appreciates only very fairly the school: “I did not support the orders of Profs. I was always at the bottom of the class close to the radiator, and dissipated my comrades”.

In 1985, Laurent Gerra launches out in studies of communication and information, and he manages to escape the Military service. Cause: " depressive with risk of passage to the acte".

Student with Lyon, it takes his first steps on scene in cabaret-theaters and other official fashionable evenings. He begins on scene with the Theater workshop from the Accessory in Lyon in 1989, with his very first titled show " Paf in the mouth! ".

In 1991, it goes up to Paris and officiates with the cabaret the Gift Camillo. At this same time, it becomes acquainted with Virginia Lemoine, a young already recognized humorist: “I was rather spoiled in the trade. I met the good people at the good moment. ”

Soon, he is noticed by Laurent Ruquier, which invites it to take part in its emission Anything to wax .

The year 1992 opens the doors of television to him. It joined there Virginia Lemoine on the emission of Jacques Martin, " Ainsi makes make " … The duet leaves the organizer headlight of Sunday in 1994, to join Michel Drucker on " Studio Gabriel ".

From now on famous, they launch out on scene as of 1997, with the Déjazet, but also with the Casino of Paris. A few months later, they receive the Molière better spectacle with sketches.

Tried again by the radio, Laurent Gerra separates from Virginia Lemoine. Direction Europe 1, where it finds its accomplice and joint author Jean-Jacques Peroni, on the emission On the way about the weak year . Great success: the radio will enter close to: 1300000 additional listeners.

January 1st 1999, Laurent Gerra imitates the president Jacques Chirac for her traditional wishes of New Year's Day. The intervention will be considered to be so powerful which the press only reports very slightly the official presidential discourse. All will be centered on its parody.

It leaves finally Europe 1 to return to the boards and rounds: “The scene, it is what I prefer”. With the end of the year, for the first time, it is alone on the scene of Olympia.

In 2001, it finds Jean-Jacques Peroni on RTL, for the chronicle " Elections matinales" , turning over, at the end of 2002, in Olympia.

Since 2001, it publishes in the Editions Except Collection in collaboration with the Morchoisne caricaturist and the editor-author Jean-Louis Festjens a series of albums with success: Mouths of the century , These pooches which control us , These pooches which control the world , Télé Circus and recently Cro-magnons of the policy .

In 2004, three years after the death of Morris, creator of the famous cow-boy Lucky Luke, Laurent Gerra becomes the scenario writer of the famous cartoon whereas the drawing is always signed Achdé. At the beginning, the imitator was reserved but the meeting of the team reassured it. It is in particular thanks to complicity with Achdé that it felt in confidence. Although it signed only for one support, Laurent hopes to continue this collaboration for other editions. Thus the title of this first publication is Belle Province , the adventure being held with the Quebec. One finds of course there Jolly Jumper with an increased importance whereas Dalton are more discrete since they will remain under the bolts for this history. The choice of Quebec is justified for Laurent Gerra by his desire for integrating quite specific expressions to this area in addition to the affection which it nourishes for this territory.

In 2005, it is of return with its one-man show " Laurent Gerra firearm the télé" , for a round through all France (while passing by the Lebanon, Tahiti, Noumea, Djibouti and the the Antilles) which continues until in 2007.

In 2006, appears the second volume of the Adventures of Lucky Luke of Laurent Gerra and Achdé, according to the work of Morris, the album has as a title the Cord with the Neck . One crowned dramatic turn of events is profiled since Daltons are condemned to hanging! The man who draws more quickly than his shade to even will offer them, of good heart, the last cigarette of condemned… To escape hanging, Dalton will marry. My Dalton is in the album and several known characters make an appearance in the album such as: Bones the undertaker's assistant, Excentric Rifle, Calamity Jane and Buffalo Bill. There are several caricatures of glories of the song, the cinema or the cartoon such as: Elizabeth Taylor, Kirk Douglas and John Wayne, Gloria Lasso, Joe Dassin, Raoul Cauvin and Willy Lambil.

At the request of the humorist, this album is the subject then of a translation (by Manuel Meune) in Bressan (alternative of the Francoprovençal), a speech which Laurent Gerra knows well, who always posted his attachment for his area of origin. The album is entitled Maryo donbin pèdu , which means " married or pendu" , and comprises a certain number of winks to the culture and the habits of the Bresse.

It carries out the January 15th 2007 its great return to the radio on RTL in the chronicle the Great Swearword (wink with the famous radio-televised emission the Large Jury ) with its accomplice of writing and always Jean-Jacques Peroni. The humorist and imitator Laurent Gerra remake the topicality with his way, in a few months of the presidential election. Monday to Friday with 18:30 in the Newspaper of Patrick Cohen.

It publishes in June 2007 Bulles of countryside , an album of photographs captioned with humor way data base, with the Fetjaine Editions.

July 13rd, 2007, at the time of the passage of Tour de France to Borough-in-Bresse, Laurent Gerra, l'" child of the pays" , is the guest of honor of a variety programme of Michel Drucker diffused on line since the Église of Husks.

August 12th, 2007, the imitator inaugurates the theater full sky " Laurent Gerra" with Carcès, in the VAr.

Laurent Gerra will celebrate his forty years on the scene of the Palate of the Congresses in Paris, the end of the month of December 2007, in a titled show Laurent Gerra firearm the TV and the policy , accompanied by the Full orchestra by Fred Manoukian Big-Band. Twenty musicians on scene.
