Laurent Cabrol

Laurent Cabrol (born on May 13rd, 1947 with Mazamet) is a writer, man of radio (Europe 1) and of television (TF1) French. It is in particular known to have replaced Brigitte Simonetta with the presentation of the weather on Antenne 2 as from August 1987 until 1992.

Biography

In 1969, it leaves the Institute of Rural Right and of agricultural Economics and in 1971 is engaged with AGRI 7, national agricultural newspaper, before its first steps in 1975 in the agriculture pages then " Facts divers" daily newspaper Le Figaro .

It is in 1976 qu ' it reaches its dream: the radio. It is not 30 years old and meets Pierre Bonte which meets a good success with its emissions " Hello France " , " Lives the life " and " happiness is in the pre ". Then it multiplies the subjects and the functions in Europe 1: report, presentation of the newspapers (22h30 then 19:00 and in joker the 5:00, 7:00 and 9:00), person in charge of the heading " Environnement" , " Life pratique" , " Circulation". It also deals with the radio guidance: it ensures all the bulletins since Rosny-sous-Bois and the direct ones since the helicopter of Europe 1, which offers to him, without the knowledge, its pilot's license of helicopter (350 hours).

In 1983, Laurent Cabrol meets Maryse and Philippe Gildas, Thierry the Lad and Coluche. With this last, it takes part in the launching of the Resto du coeur. Philippe Gildas (directing of Europe 1) names it interface between Coluche and the drafting.

In Europe 1 in 1986, it is the shock of its career: Weather. Albert Simon, the Mr Météo of the radio, leaves the antenna and Laurent Cabrol is propelled there… It there remainder 14 years. In 1987, Antenne 2 requires of him to replace Brigitte Simonetta and charges it with restructuring the weather. At the same period (1989 to 1992), it is the organizer of the emission figures and letters, always on Antenne 2.

Then Téléshopping in 1993 comes, following Pierre Bellemare, of which it is always the organizer.

Then the 20:30, the famous " come; premium ". Its leaning for animation invites it to postulate for popular emissions and general public. During 2 years, the Steps of glory and the Night of the heroes pulverize the records of audience. This type of emissions will however not bring to him only of the positive reactions: it is done the cantor of the " TV poubelle" , actually, it takes part with Jacques Pradel in the first steps of the tele reality… In 1994, it replaces Bernard Montiel with the presentation of a family out of gold until 1997.

Today, Laurent Cabrol presents the weather on Europe 1 (104.7). Each Saturday at 3 p.m., it animates an emission on the Généalogie with Jean-Louis Beaucarnot, and unrolls its passion of the garden in its chronicles of Sunday morning.

It also writes the nature pages and animals of the weekly magazine France Dimanche.
In November 2006, Laurent Cabrol also left his last novel " policier" soil: " the Crime of Christmas ".
