Laurent Boutonnat
Laurent Boutonnat is a Musicien, Auteur-compositeur and Réalisateur French born the June 14th 1961 with Paris.
Beginnings with the cinema
Its first Feature-length film, Ballade of the féconductrice , a comprising science fiction film of the scenes of a rare violence, is diffused only two weeks in a Parisian room. The film is prohibited at least 18 years - its author does not have any whereas 17 - but nevertheless is projected with the Marché of film of Cannes.
The meeting with Mylène Farmer
At 20 years, it composes with Jerome Dahan the music wrongly of Maman and seeks a singer to interpret it. He thinks initially of Lio, the lolita singer but the project will not succeed. Then, it locates an young girl of about fifteen year but would have finally given up it for legal reasons. Extremely success of this first individual, Laurent Boutonnat written and composes the majority of the songs of the first album of the singer, Cendres of the moon , in 1986. The second extract, Plus To grow , introduced what will make the success of the singer partly: the Vidéo-clips, that Laurent Boutonnat will realize from now on in 35 mm, like genuine small films with credits, original soundtracks and previews.
Success
Real success intervenes only in 1986 with the third extract of Cendres of the Moon , Libertine and her amazing video clip, inspired of Barry Lyndon of Kubrick, success confirmed by the individual following, TRISTANA whose clip is nominated with the Victories of the Music. Laurent Boutonnat and Mylène Farmer, who form a couple at the city then, create the company " Toutankhamon SA".
In spring 1988 leaves the album Ainsi is I… , entirely composed by Boutonnat which forsakes the writing, the torch being taken again by Mylène Farmer. They turn the clips of Without counterfeit (turned with Zouc) and Provided that they are soft (II, which will be the longest French video clip carried out: 17mn), and always puts in scene its first round in 1989, of which he films a video memory Mylène Farmer - In concert , in 35 mm, and who will leave the following year.
In 1991 Boutonnat composes the musics of the Other , the new album of Mylène Farmer, and produces the clips Désenchantée , Regrets and I love you melancholy . Désenchantée to date remains one of the most popular songs in France. It was also the French song most diffused in the world in 2004 according to SACEM. The video clip of Beyond my control (1992), censured for its too explicit contents, is the last carried out by Laurent Boutonnat for Mylène Farmer until 2001.
Giorgino
In 1994, it carries out its dream, while turning Giorgino (with Mylène Farmer in the main role). The very dark atmosphere of film does not attract the spectators, who prefer to him Forrest Gump , Pulp Fiction or Leon . Upset by the failure of his film, the realizer repurchases the rights of them and any diffusion prevents some. It will end however up yielding to the pressure of a public faithful to his universe (of the petitions for the exit of film circulated on Internet) and strengthened by the success of " Jacquou Croquant" , decides to publish Giorgino on support DVD, thirteen years after its exit into the room. (Edition envisaged on December 5th, 2007).
Musical return
In 1995, it goes back to the composition for the album Anamorphosée , with the sound plus rock'n'roll. It conceives with Mylène Farmer a round that it immortalise in the Live in Bercy (1997).
In 1998, Laurent Boutonnat composes the music of the first feature-length film of Mario Luraschi the Pilgrim , and launches a young actress little known, Nathalie Cardone, whose song Hasta Siempre (a song in Castillan on the legendary figure of Che) is a large success. The following year leaves the first album Nathalie, like Innamoramento of Mylène Farmer, album which it composes mainly. In 2000, it produces with Mylène Farmer the young singer Alizée, composes for her the music of Me… Lolita and produces the clip. The song is a world success (more than 4 million sales), followed by a triumphal album: Delicacies .
In 2001, it takes again the camera for Mylène Farmer and carries out the Words and Pardonne me . It also produces the clips of Geostrophic Parler low and I am not twenty years old . In 2003 it puts in scene the spectacle of young Corsican and receives the same year the Grand Prix of the Author-Realizer of Audio-visual, decreed by SACEM.
In 2005, leaves Before the shade… , the sixth album of Mylène Farmer of which it composes the near total of the musics. It also takes part, in partnership with the singer, with the setting in scene of the spectacle Before shade… In Bercy . Parallel to all that, it starts in 2006 the turning of its new feature film, an adaptation of the novel of Eugene Roy Jacquou crunching it , left to France on January 17th, 2007 and which consolidates Laurent Boutonnat in his skin of realizer, the film having received a reception much more cordial than that of Giorgino, on behalf of the critics like spectacteurs (1 million entries).
