Laurence Parisot
Laurence Parisot (born the August 31st 1959 with Luxeuil-the-Baths in Haute-Saône), is a woman head of undertaking, chairman of the French Institut of public opinion (IFOP) and president of the Mouvement of the companies of France (MEDEF) since July 5th, 2005.
Heiress of the group Parisot (1st industrialist of the piece of furniture in France), her heritage the place 276e larger French fortune.
Biography
His/her father and his grandfather Jacques Parisot (founder of the company and graduate of the school Swell) directed the Parisot Group, company of pieces of furniture, company not - quoted on the stock exchange, established with Saint-Wolf-on-Semouse (Haute-Saône) and currently directed by his uncle, Jean-Claude.After studies of right to faculty of Nancy it integrates the Institut of political studies of Paris. Single person and without children, it is impassioned by surrealist art .
It is decorated with the rank with Knight in the National order with the Merit.
In MEDEF
In 2002, it enters to the executive council of the MEDEF.At the end of the presidency of Ernest-Antoine Seilliere, it left favorite like candidate to her succession, for which it had the support of several professional federations of the MEDEF as the bank, the insurances, health and the building. It also had the support of Ernest-Antoine Seilliere.

She was opposed to Yvon Jacob (150 votes) and Hugues-Arnaud Mayer (85 votes); there were 2 abstentions.
