The church
In 1278 is founded a vault which will be destroyed in 1636, then rebuilt in 1773. In 1825, the current church is built in the place of this vault. The bell-tower is a bell-tower out of comb. In 1963, the municipal council made remelt the principal bell which was cracked. During winter 1974/1975, the Mayor, the Municipal council and all the valid men of the commune devote their spare time to restore completely and voluntarily the interior of the Church. This church, containing a remarkable furniture, has a not very banal history described in a small document published by the mayor of Laubert in 1999. A small fountain, capped of a beautiful Philibert frame, with the foot of the church adds with the charm of the village.
One finds in this church:
- a Christ of the 15th century out of polychrome wood,
- a Virgin with the Child of the 17th century, out of gilded wood,
- a Telamon supporting the pulpit (there exist three other Atlantes of this type in Lozere),
- a Retable gilded and painted, with twisted columns, coming from the church of the Capuchins, located at Mende. It is surmounted by two funeral urns.
