Latin States of the East
As of the First crusade, some cross cut strongholds in the East.
- County of Édesse, 1098 with 1146 (List of the counts)
- Principality of Antioche, 1098 with 1258 (List of the princes)
- Kingdom of Jerusalem, 1099 with 1291 (List of the kings)
- County of Tripoli, 1102 with 1288 (List of the counts)
Later, Richard Lion-hearted conquered the island of Cyprus on a Byzantine lord and gave the island to Guy de Lusignan which founded a monarchy there:
- Kingdom of Cyprus of 1192 with 1489 (List of the kings)
At the time of the catch of Constantinople, during the Fourth crusade, were founded several states in the Byzantine Empire:
- Latin Empire of Constantinople of 1204 with 1261 (List of the emperors)
- Kingdom of Thessalonique, 1205 with 1222 (List of the kings)
- Principality of Achaïe, 1205 with 1428 (List of the princes)
- Duchy of Athens, 1205 with 1458 (List of the dukes)
- Duchy of Naxos, 1210 with 1566 (List of the dukes)
