Dernier Asset is a French film carried out by Jacques Becker in 1942.

Summary

In a hotel of an imaginary city of South America, a man is killed. One charges the two pupils inspectors, Clarence and Montès, to elucidate this assassination in order to decide between them of a contest of shooting, but without knowing that the late one is not other than the public enemy n° 1 of the United States. The two young police officers will manage to elucidate the business after multiple adventures.
