Lascelles Abercrombie

Lascelles Abercrombie , known also like the Georgian Prize winner (the Ashton-one-Mersey, the January 9th 1881 - the October 27th 1938), was a poet and critical British. He belonged to the group of the Poètes of Dymock.

Biography

He studies at the university of Manchester. Before the First World War, it resides during a time at Dymock in the Gloucestershire, one communanuté or live also Rupert Brooke and Edward Thomas. In 1922, it is named professor of English at the university of Leeds. In 1929, it leaves to the university London, and in 1935, it obtains a post of professor with Oxford. He wrote many criticisms on poetry. He was the brother of the architect Patrick Abercrombie.
