Lascaris
The family of the Lascaris (Greek: Λάσκαρις) was the Dynastie reigning on the Empire of Nicée.
The name Lascaris comes from the Persan lashkar (armed) like the word Arab Al-askari (soldier/military) at the origin of the Greek word askeri/ασκέρι (troops not-tactics).
