Lars von Trier
The draftsman Mark Van Oppen (alias Marvano ) was born in 1953 with Zolder in Belgium. He works initially, during 10 years, as interior designer and, impassioned Science-fiction, he illustrates also news in the magazine of Dutch science fiction Orbit. He illustrates then novels of the same type for the editions Heyne, in Germany, and Meulenhoff, with the Netherlands.
In 1982, giving up architecture, Marvano becomes editor association during 4 years of Kuifje, version Dutch-speaking of the Journal of Tintin. Then, it directs the sector band-drawn of the Flemish editor De Gulden Engel. At the same time, it publishes its first cartoons: it will make some short complete stories in Tintin and its special issues, like in quarterly the Robbedoes + , brother Dutch of transitory the Spirou + .
In 1988, filled with enthusiasm by a science fiction novel of American Joe Haldeman, it proposes to him to adapt it in data base It will be the eternal War with the editions Dupuis in the free collection Aire. Then, in 1990, it publishes Solitaire , in collaboration with Bob van Laerhoven with the editions Lombard, Red Knight , with Ronald Grossey and, in 1994, the Seven Dwarves again in Aire the Free collection of Dupuis.
In collaboration with Jean Annestay then with Marcel Rouffa, Marvano also published at Dupuis the series Rourke , according to the novels of Paul-Loup Sulitzer.
In September 1996, Marvano started at Dupuis a new series of science fiction with Haldeman: Dallas Barr , adapted novel Immortality to sell . It was republished and continued parl Lombard in 2004
And finally in March 2002, left the continuation the eternal war : the Free series forever with the editions Dargaud, adapted novel eternal Freedom of Joe Haldeman.
