The group is formed after Tim Armstrong, friend and partner of Lars within Rancid, suggested in Lars writing songs on its course and its stories when it grows with Campbell (California). The group carries out a first album éponyme then, left in 2001 at Epitaph, containing at the same time compos and recoveries, like " To Have and to Have Not" of Billy Bragg, " Leaving here" of Motörhead, or a hardly disguised version of " Tommorow Belongs To Me" of Skrewdriver, famous " Campbell california".
The second opus of the group, mixed by Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion, leaves in 2004, under the name " The Viking" , wink in the Danish beginnings of Lars. One finds there also some recoveries like " Marie marie" Blasters, " For you" of Anti-Nowhere League and also " Hard Little Girl" who was in the beginning a project intended with Rancid. One notes on this album the interventions of Tim Armstrong on the title " My life to live" and of Rob Aston on " Switchblade".
