Larmor-beach

Larmor-Beach is a common French, located in the department of the Morbihan and the area Brittany.

The name Breton of the commune is An Arvor (delivery).

Its inhabitants name the Larmoriens and Larmoriennes .

Situation

Larmor-beach located, in Brittany southern, in the south-west of the Department of Morbihan, vis-a-vis the island of Groix, with the western entry of the roads of Lorient which marks the junction of the Blavet and of the Scorff. Vis-a-vis the Atlantic Ocean.

History

In the side niches the statues of saint Efflam and holy Barbe are placed. The furnace bridge, decorated twisted columns, preserves in the niches the statue of Good Pasteur and those of the four Évangélistes. In front of furnace bridge in painted fabric whose central medallion is dedicated to the Vierge with the Child. Retables of the side sides of the chorus comprising a flanked central niche of pilasters, with at the top, a table representing our Heavenly Father. Southern retable decorated with a statue of saint Jean the Baptist and in front of furnace bridge out of wooden carved with garlands of flowers. Northern retable with the statue of the Virgin to the Child and in front of furnace bridge on painted fabric appearing Holy Roch. One can see inscriptions there: Armorial bearings: armorial bearings of the givers, Rene Leziart and Suzanne de Trelan, its wife (table of the retable of the chorus, bellow). Armorial bearings: armorial bearings of Louis II of Rohan-Guémené, died in 1508, and of Louise de Rieux, her wife (side niches of the retable of the chorus).
