Large slam in Rugby with XV of Wales in 1908

The team of Wales gained the British Tournoi of Rugby at XV 1908 by making a success of the triple crown. By convention Wales is credited with a Grand Slam (four victories in four matches) because, if France were allowed only in 1910, Wales met already France in margin of the Tournament and it doubled its “triple crown” by a victory vis-a-vis the French.

This victory is the fourth of a series of seven victories in twelve years in the tournament, of 1900 with 1911.

This team then counts players of talent like George Through, Dicky Owen, Billy Trew… xx players contributed to this success.

Reggie Gibbs registers 4 tests against France what is always a record fellow-prisoner by Reggie Gibbs, Willie Llewellyn, Maurice Richards, Ieuan Evans, Shane Williams and Nigel Walker.
