Large Theft Car: Liberty City Stories

Large Theft Car: Liberty City Stories is a Video game developed by Rockstar Games left in September 2005 with the the United States and at the end of October in Europe on PlayStation Portable, then converted on PlayStation 2 into 2006. This play which belongs to the series of the Grand Theft Auto of which it is the Seventh opus. The play thus proceeds in 1998 after AWG: San Andreas and before AWG III.

Principle of play

Liberty City is of return. The city in which the players evolved/moved in 2001 is of return, but this time on PSP. It is not a simple adaptation, but a AWG III improved with the innovations of Defect City (not those of San Andreas to the great regret of the fans).

Chronologically, the play is a few years before the first episode at Liberty City.

This episode is the first to propose a true mode of play multijoueurs since Grand Theft Auto 2.

The play finally left to Europe the December 2nd 2005 thus later that the date envisaged (at the end of October).

Parts of Liberty City

Liberty City has a population of 7 million inhabitants.

Liberty City counts three parts:

Portland cement: The indutrielle and residential zone with the port, cities, factories etc
Staunton Island: The retail park and residential with the apartments of luxury, the scrape-sky, hotels etc
Shoreside Vale: The outer suburbs of Liberty City, here you can find private mansions, villas, cities, small shops and the airport.

Portland cement districts

The island of Portland is the industrial park of Liberty City, located at the east of the city. It is especially famous to be the maritime heart of the city. Boats coming from the whole world are moored on the quays of the Portland Embarcadero . It is also the zone of the elevated railway and unfortunately that of the shootings, generated by the hatred of the other ethnic people. It is not for only in the heart of the island is the Chinese district.

Here the list of the Portland cement districts:

Red Light District: It is a district which gathers the procurers, the boxes of striptease and the cinemas pornographic. It does not make good live there and it is not recommended to leave during the night there. District controlled by the sicilian family of Sindacco.
Hepburn Heights : Small residential district located at the Portland cement west, it counts a city, a building site and a park. Under development full. It became the territory of Diablos for some time, a gang of street with strong Hispanic accent.
Harwood : Commercial district, but on a small portion only, the remainder being grass and glazing bar. This district is located at the north of the island and one can find there a break-in and a service station in particular.
St Mark' S: District in the east of the island, it is the Italian district and of this fact one of most animated of all the city. One finds there lanes, trade, apartments, it is the district of Leone, a sicilian family of the Maffia.
Portland cement View: This district consists of a hospital, a police station and a grass extent in height which makes it possible to have a pleasant sight on the immense maritime complex of the island.
Portland cement Harbor: It is most of the port of the city, the majority of the traffics of cars pass by there. The cranes cover even the cries of the gulls!
Portland cement Docks: Left before Harbor Portland cement, where the fresh fish is stored. Gathering place of the strikers.
Trenton (or Industrial Estate): It is the district of the factories, of the garages (one finds in particular that of Joey). Many small hangars. The traffic of the port contaminated this district under development full.
Atlantic Quays : The quays give directly on the Atlantic Ocean. This district has of warehouses and carparks for trucks and several piers. It is there that is famous and famous the Portland Embarcadero
Portland Beach: Located at the east of the city, it is a long beach deserted and covered with waste.
Callahan Not: This district gathers the zone in lower part and around Callahan Bridge, it is from here share the " Waterfront Promenade".
Callahan Bridge: It is the bridge which connects Portland to Staunton Island. it is currently in construction.
Chinatown : Chinatown is the Chinese district located at the center of the island, it gathers trade and apartments. Undoubtedly the most alive district of the island with its market, its laundry Wong and his Triads.

Districts of Staunton Island

The island of Staunton is the retail park of Liberty City, the heart of the city. It is in these urban extents that Liberty City found its nickname: " " The city which does not sleep jamais" " . Very stretched, the island conceals good number of luxurious stores and amazing companies settling to live thoroughly the dream of all American. Belleville Park is really the hard core of the city, a kind of line separating the buildings from the south from the more conventional buildings from north. The experiment is likely to be memorable.

Newport : Small district located at the east of the island, it counts a carpark, apartments, condos, a marina and docks. Less prestigious than Atlantic Quays in Portland but much more glamor! It is the territory of Yardies, the gang jamaïcain of the city.
Torrington : Large district of the businesses located at the south-east of Staunton Island. The saving in a whole country, it is here! One finds there all the large buildings and all the great restaurants. For those which would not have enough money to leave to Las Venturas to play its shirt will be able to do it here, with the only casino worthy of LV with Liberty City. Yakuzas bought the casino with the Americans besides.
Bedford Not: It is the part which supplements Torrington in the west. The large shops of modes, the incredible sport scars and the seat of mythical the Liberty Tree make of this district an essential component of the city.
Aspatria : Future great stage in construction located at the north of the city to compete with large the Los Santos Forum .
Belleville Park: A park located in full heart of the island, somewhat inspired from Central Park in New York.
Callahan Bridge: It is the bridge which connects Portland to Staunton Island.Il is currently in construction. End of the joists in December 1998.
Strong Staunton: District located at the north of Newport and the south of Rockford. This district has lanes pedestrians (as chinatown has) typical trade and buildings, an opera, a restaurant, a subway and a small square. It was unfortunately destroyed by a bomb in January 1999. Ceul a small park with a restaurant has to resist the explosion. The ruins should be shaven to build a building of 500 bills of quantities: the staunton plaza which should be to complete in 2005.
Liberty Campus: University of Liberty City as famous as the Greenclass College of Mow Venturas.
Rockford : The north of the city where is located the hospital, a station of subway and the ferry connecting Staunton Island to Portland.

Districts of Shoreside Vale

The island of Shoreside Vale is the residential zone of the city. In the urban jungle of the city, this grass corner is the paradise of those which need calm. The large airport of the city is established there. Stopping too. In fact, this zone was especially conceived for the large ones mania-all of the commercial district. Suburbs picturesque, average suburbs and luxurious suburbs are found there.

International Francis Airport: The airport of the city. One of largest of the world! The traffic is always also grouillant in front of the principal terminal. The Colombian trust often trails the night there.
Pike Creek : Small residential district in the north of the airport or is located several trade, the police station, the hospital, Pay' spray, 8-ball… a pretty sight of the skyscrapers of Staunton to be seen.
Cedar Grove : District with luxurious houses located at the north of the city. Starfish Island de Liberty City, with elegant swimming pools and cars! There still, the Colombian trust trails the evening there.
Wichita Gardens : Gardens or are located apartments. It is a poor city. Moved back suburbs, what… Hoods made of this corner their territory besides.
Cochrane Prejudice: Stopping of sea of Liberty City which feeds most of the inhabitants of the city. Like Aspatria, it was built with an aim of competing with the Sherman Dam .

History

The plays of the series Grand Theft Auto build a coherent universe. Large Theft Car: Liberty City Stories racontre history of a minor character that one finds in other plays of the series, but who this time is the main character.

Large Theft Car: San Andreas is the AWG which precedes this history. It is held in 1992 and Liberty City Stories in 1998.

In Liberty City Stories , the player incarnates Toni Cipriani, which was a big shot of the Mafia in Grand Theft Auto III. Indeed, in this play, Toni gave to the hero missions, and directed at the same time an Italian restaurant pertaining to his/her mother. It was also very friendly (at least, seemingly) with Salvatore Leone, Don of the Leone family.

The history is before that of Grand Theft Auto III , because Toni is yet only one unknown when it arrives at Liberty City. Hidden for several months after an assassination which has evil to finish, it has returned in Liberty, and finds Salvatore, which explains to him why Toni lost its place in the Maffia, and fell down to the bottom of the social scale. Initially, he will work for that which replaced it, Vincenzo Cilli, which lives mainly in a warehouse with the quays. Vincenzo is a character jealous, perverse, and manipulator, which will not see an good eye the arrival of Toni in its small quiet life, and will hesitate to treat it like a least only nothing. Irritated, Toni will finish however by " to calm the jeu" at Vincenzo, by showing him that he is not man to let itself make.

Very quickly, Toni will understand that the Mafia is declining. One discovers three families in this play: Leone, Forelli, and Sindacco. Throughout the others AWG, the fans already knew and met these three families. They are here in the middle of the problem. These three families direct all the city indeed, and thus have the control and the maintenance of the organized crime. Unfortunately, they start to be made the war. The three are respectively shown to tackle the others, and the situation is likely to degenerate very quickly.

Moreover, Toni will see that even his/her mother does not respect it any more. The latter will indeed put a contract on its head, and will withdraw it only when it succeeds in proving reliable.

While waiting, Toni is obliged to mix with the war between Leone and the two other families: Forelli, and Sindacco. He will work pendan a time with a mole, JD O' Toole, which directs a club of striptease pertaining to the enemies, but who wishes to become Leone. It will be unfortunately cut down by Luigi after having proven reliable. This last will consider indeed that somebody who betrayed once always ends up betraying one second time.

Gradually, the war of the gangs obliges the families to make concessions. Thus, the Triades seize Chinatown, and the emergent Diablos with the heights of Hepburn in construction. Those were created by Sindacco in order to reduce the power of the Leone Family. The situation becoming complicated more and more in Portland, Salvatore decides to take the broad one, and leaves with Toni in Staunton Island, in order to trovuer of the potential allies.

It thus turns to the corrupted policy and mediums. Salvatore knows that the mayor works for Forellis, and wishes to elect a new mayor who will be for Leone. Tony thus undertakes to kill the former mayor, and helps then Donald Love, richissime business man with the dispersed spirit, to promote his countryside against his major enemy: O' Donovan. With blows of political embezzlements, Donald will end up attracting himself the dimension near the population, thwarting the strategies of O' Donovan, like the creation of false ballot papers. Unfortunately, O' Donovan will counter-attack, while updating the doubtful relations enters Love and Cipriani. Coil will lose its countryside, and will be ruined.

At the same time, Toni will work for a mysterious evangelist, who are a fact Ned Burner, a journalist with the not very glorious methods. In order to obtain large scoops on assassinations and catastrophes, this journalist created the catastrophes in question! It will end however up running up against the bad blows of Leone, and will be killed by Toni.

Tony will also meet Leon McAffrey, and sometimes, his partner Ray Machowski, whom one knows more in Grand Theft Auto III, a cop ripoux who works with Leone, but with any confidence on behalf of both. He will help Toni to carry a blow in Forelli in the sector of Newport while making emerge Yardies, which will become enemy at the same time of all the families.

Salvatore and Toni will end up learning after capture from the assistant from the mayor what occurs. The gangster Families in fact are handled by the Sicilians, who assembled the families the ones against the others. Their plan is simple. They hope that the Families will destroy themselves between them, and that they will not have any more but to complete them to take the absolute control of the city.

Salvatore will not be long in being put in prison, and Toni will then receive its orders since its prison. Salvatore wishes to use Hoods to fight the two other Families. Toni will thus yield to Hoods a new territory with Shoreside Vale, which will carry another fatal blow in Forellis and Sindaccos. It will end even up killing the chief of Sindaccos while exploding its boat. There will then remain nothing any more but Forellis to fight Leone, Sindaccos not having more chief, and being made massacre. All in all, the plan of the Sicilians seems to go to wonder.

A new enemy will then come to face Leone: Yakuzas, which has sights on Torrington and the remainder of the city. Thanks to the assistance of the woman of the chief of Yakzuas, Toshiko Kasen, Toni will however manage to control Yakuzas, demolishing their weapon of war, their capital, and killing their Kazuki chief on the roof of the casino.

Donald Love will then make his return in the life of Toni, explaining his catastrophic situation to him. The policy did not go for him, and it stagnates in an apartment merdic, but, the such reappearing Phoenix of its ashes, found an idea to regain its empire: the real estate! It indeed hopes to apply the instructions of its former mentor, Avery Carrington, and decides to start to kill this last, in order to prick its projects to him.

Coil will thus discover the subtle plan of Avery, which consists in exploding a whole district of Liberty, Fort Staunton. Toni obeys, and places a series of bombs surpuissantes in the sewers. Unfortunately, the beautiful life of Coils becomes complicated when the Colombian Trust unloads at his place to kill it. It leaves then by plane. One supposes that it will return afterwards in Liberty, considering whom it is present in the adventure of Grand Theft Auto III.

During this time, Salvatore succeeds in leaving prison.

The Sicilians are however now powerful, Forellis always present, and the Mafia loses capacity more and more. Tony and Salvatore manage to find the Sicilians with the Portland cement headlight then stopped the Sicilians, and saved the Leone family of the disaster.

Toni is largely rewarded with much money. But Leone are not victorious completely of the war and hope well to gain it…

Grand Theft Auto III is the continuation of this history.

Gangs of Liberty City Stories

Leone family

The Leone family is one of the three sicilian gangs of Liberty City. Its chief is known under the name of Salvatore Leone which lives in a superb villa on St Mark' S. It will finish assassinated by Claude Speed under the orders of the Yakuzas . Toni Cipriani , Joey Leone and Vincenzo Cilli is known members of this family. As any Maffia which is respected, Leone are specialized in banchissement in weapons and the extortion of money.

Sindacco family

Standard of gang : Maffia
Origin : Sicilian
Clothing : Jacket and pants out of leather, sunglasses.
Vehicles : Sindacco Argento
Territory : Red Light District (Portland cement)

The Sindacco family is regarded as weakest of the sicilian families of Liberty City. Paulie Sindacco is its chief. He will die following a descent organized by the Famille Leone . Its HQ is to some extent the Paulie' S Revue Bar . They took as a starting point the gangs of streets while engaging in industry of the deal. If not, like any Maffia, Sindaccos do many traffic weapons.

Except Range FM and Chatterbox 109 (which is called LCFR ), the majority of the other radios of Grand Theft Auto III are present in this play.
