Large Séolane
The Grande Séolane is a top of the Alp-of-High-Provence which dominates the Vallée of Ubaye, and firm, in south-east, the basin of Barcelonnette. It is about a massive top, encircled of all shares by rock bars.
Geology
The top consists of Calcaire S pertaining to the zone subbriançonnaise. The summit calcareous plate presents a karstic relief.
Access
- In excursion, the access is possible by the collar of Thuiles. There is a very easy step of climbing and without danger immediately with the top of the collar (normal way);
- In alpine excursion, a corridor opposite south-east is practicable (rotted rock);
- Several routes of climbing, in rock not always good, and often high level, were open.
