Biography
It makes its beginnings in world cup in 1972 and gains there two races at only 18 years and becomes youngest Italy N to gain a test of World cup, two years later it gains the World cup with the general (performance in Italy that only Gustavo Thoeni and Alberto Tomba succeeded). The same year, it gains its first medal in Championnats of the world, that of bronze in giant slalom. Then two years later, it reaches the top by gaining the gold medal in slalom with the Winter Olympics of 1976 by beating invincible the Ingemar Stenmark. Its last exploit to be noticed is a money medal to the Championnats of the world of 1978 before taking its retirement at 28 years in 1982. After that he becomes mayor of his native commune (Sauze d' Oulx) between 1985 and 1990 and regulèrement works with the Rai to comment on the alpine tests.
