Large Los Angeles
One calls Grand Los Angeles vast the Conurbation California not including/understanding Los Angeles and the close cities. It extends on five counties from the south from the state, namely: Los Angeles, County of Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura. The inhabitants indicate it under the names of Southern California (California of the South), SoCal or The Southland ; or quite simply under the name of L.A, especially by the inhabitants of the Comté of Los Angeles and by the foreigners, which is not really judicious since the zone includes/understands more than one hundred distinct municipalities, of the hundreds of districts and more inhabitants than any state of the the United States to share the Texas, New York and the Florida. It as should be noted as the term California of the south is also used to indicate a vaster area; and that the uses of the terms differ according to the localities.
The official estimate of 2005 concerning the population of the area of Large Los Angeles was of 17.545.623 inhabitants established on an entire surface of 87.972 km ², of which only the half densément is densément populated. The agglomeration of Los Angeles gathers in 2001 some 171 municipalities.
