Large-Dancers of the King

Formed by Jean-Baptiste Nicolet, the Troupe of the Large-Dancers of the King obtains his royal denomination on April 23rd 1772.

Located on the Boulevard of the Temple, the Théâtre of Nicolet is called from now on Théâtre of the Large-Dancers of the King .

Composed of best the Actor S, tightrope walkers, Acrobat S and artists in all kinds, this troop is numerous and of quality.

In 1792, the troop takes the name of Théâtre of Gaîté.
