  • Akebia, Boquila, Decaisnea, Holboellia, Lardizabala, Parvatia, Sinofranchetia, Stauntonia .
They are lianas or shrubs, areas moderated with subtropical, originating in the India, the Far East or Chile.

The fleshy follicules of the species of the kind Akebia are edible.

The phylogenetic classification adds the kind Sargentodoxa to it, classically to constitute the Sargentodoxacées.
