Lapointe smoothing iron

Lisette Lapointe (September 1943 with Montreal -) is a political Femme Québécois and marries it ex- Prime Minister for Quebec Jacques Parizeau. It is currently Député E pequist of the district of Crémazie to the National Assembly of Quebec.

Biography

Initially press attaché for Jacques Parizeau starting from 1976, it becomes his wife in 1992, two years before her election like Prime Minister. In 2006, it announces its decision to stand as candidate at the time of the Québécois general election of 2007 for the Parti Québécois with the support her husband and André Boisclair. Lapointe smoothing iron having thought of presenting itself in the district of Two-Mountains, it was finally turned over towards that of Crémazie, electoral constituency without opposition of another member of the party, in front of the refusal to desist from one of the two candidates seeking to replace Helene Robert. It is about the first time at Quebec that the woman of a former Prime Minister is presented in the form of a candidate to the provincial one.

She gained the election in her cinconscription with 170 votes in advance over her principal adversary, the liberal deputy outgoing Michele Lamquin-Éthier. She is spokesperson as regards employment and social solidarity with the National Assembly.
