Languages déné-Caucasians

The languages déné-Caucasians are a super family of languages which remains an assumption.

The super-family would gather the languages Etruscan Basque, , Sumérien, Caucasian of North, sino-Tibetans and some Amerindian Langues, in particular the group Athébascain.

Six families of languages of the déné-Caucasian:

  1. Na-dené (Amerindian)

  2. Ienisseïen (of which the only one still representing spoken is the Ket)
  3. Sino-Tibetan
  4. Burushaski (language isolated in north from Pakistan, made of two dialects)
  5. Caucasien of north (two families: Abkhazian-Adyghéen and Nakho-Daguestanien)
  6. Basque

Na-Déné is located in North America and the four other families in Eurasia. Bourouchaski is in contact with the Tibetan, on the other hand the other families are insulated by englobement in the eurasiatic super-family in Eurasia (or nostratic super-family by adding the kartvélienne families, élamo-dravidienne to it and Afro-Asian) and the amérinde super-family in North America.

The joint cartography of Eurasiatique (largely recognized) and Amérinde (much more disputed) revealed in hollow a linguistic huge archipelago which extends on three continents (of the Bay of Biscay in Hudson Bay and the Gulf of Mexico) which it is trying to seek to connect even if the genetic structuring of this unit is particularly difficult to establish.

  5. Sergueï Nikolaïev (1980): Na-Déné + broad Sino-Caucasian = Déné-Caucasian
  6. John Bengston (1988): Déné-Caucasian + Bourouchaski + Euskarien = current Déné-Caucasian

Nihali, language isolated from India, is perhaps attachable with Na-Déné.
