Language of modeling

A language of modeling is an artificial language which can be used to express Information or Connaissance or Système S in a structure which is defined by a coherent whole of rules.

The rules are used for the interpretation of the significance of the components in the structure.

Form: graph or text

A language of modeling can be graphic or textual.

The graphic languages of modeling use techniques of Diagramme S with symbols associated with names which represent the concepts and of the lines which connect the symbols and which represent the graphic relations and various the other annotations to represent the constraints.

The textual languages of modeling use typically standardized Mots-clé S accompanied by parameters to return the expressions interpretable by the Ordinateurs.

An example of graphic languages of modeling and a textual language of modeling correspondent is EXPRESS-G and EXPRESS TRAIN (ISO 10303-11).

  • EXPRESS TRAIN and EXPRESS-G (ISO 10303-11) is an international standard of language of Modélisation of the data whose field of application is general. He is used, inter alia, to specify different Data model ISO standards, like the protocols of application of ISO 10303 (STEP), ISO 13584, ISO 15926 and others.
