Language of data control

A Language of data control (or LCD) is a Computer programming language to control the access to the data of a database. Examples of orders LCD are:

  • GRANT : authorize certain users to carry out a certain operation

  • DENY prevents certain users to carry out a certain operation
  • REVOKE cancels a preceding order of control
  • UPDATE authorizes a user to update recordings
  • READ prevents a user from modifying the database, it can right lira the data
  • DELETE authorizes a user to erase recordings
