Langeland
Langeland is a commune of the south of the Denmark resulting from the communal reform of 2007.
Langeland is the result of the gathering of the 3 communes of:
- Rudkøbing
- Sydlangeland
- Tranekær
Habitants of the municipality (2007): 13.937 ha. Surface: 290 km ².
The island of Langeland
Island of the Baltic connected to the Fyn by a succession of bridge via Siø and Tåsinge.
The principal city is Rudkøbing. The relatively broken landscapes of the south of the island testify to the activity of the glaciers to the Quaternaire. They left there morainic hillocks characteristic which one finds a little everywhere in Denmark.
