Lanfains
Lanfains ( Breton Lanfeun in ) is a common French, located in the department of the Coast-with Armor and the area Brittany.
Its inhabitants is called the Lanfinois and the Lanfinoises .
Geography
The landscape of Lanfains is scrap-metal with an undulating relief (Armorican Massif).The culminating point of the commune is to 323 m and is located at the locality of Beautiful Air-Porpaire. What makes of Lanfains, one of the communes of Brittany whose altitude is highest (the church being to 310 m of altitude).
The communes around Lanfains are Saint-Brandan, the Hermitage-Lorge, Bodéo, Harmoye, Saint-Bihy and Fœil. Quintin, Allineuc and Corlay is only with a few kilometers.
History
Lanfains comes from the Breton “lann” (Ermitage) and, seems it, of Latin “fanum” (temple). Moreover Lanfains is in extreme cases of spoken the Gallo and Breton.The parish of Lanfains is mentioned as of 1428.
A wind park was installed on the commune in 2005.
