Landscape of Santa Maria beyond firn
The Landscape of Santa Maria beyond firn , or more simply the Landscape , is the first known drawing of Léonard de Vinci. It was made in 1473 and shows the landscape of the valley of the Arno, close to Florence.
From this work the interest of the young artist for the natural phenomena comes out: rivers, lakes, plants like its control of a simple style.
This drawing is preserved at the Galerie of the Offices in Florence.
