Landsberg amndt Lech is a commune of approximately 28.000 inhabitants located in Bavaria (Germany). This picturesque city, on the romantic Road, chief town of district, is twinned with Saint-Laurent-of-VAr (France).

Founded by Henri the Lion, Landsberg amndt Lech has a history of more than 700 years. The old city on the edges of the Lech river is a roomy shopping mall with its rich person houses patricians, its town hall with a frontage decorated with stuccos by Dominikus Zimmermann and the tower of Schmalz.

It is in the prison of this commune that was kept Adolf Hitler in 1924 and where he wrote Mein Kampf . The defendants of the Procès of Nuremberg in their turn will be locked up in this prison between 1945 and 1946.
