Landolin Ohmacht
Born in 1760 in Dunningen close to Rottweil to the Wurtemberg, Landolin Ohmacht came in Alsace in 1814 and made Strasbourg its adoptive city. It died there in 1834.
Principal works :
- Monument of the general Desaix (Place of the Stock Exchange in Strasbourg)
- Sphinx , Griffon , Neptune : sculptures intended for the castle of the spy Karl Schulmeister with the Meinau (installed today in the park Albert-Schweitzer and the park of Fecht with Munster (Haut-Rhin))
- monuments in the Saint-Thomas church in Strasbourg
- six Muses on the Peristyle of the frontage of the municipal Theater of Strasbourg
- busts of Christophe-Guillaume Koch, of Pasteur Oberlin, the prefect Lezay-Marnésia.
Other works are with Munich and in the cathedral of Spire
