Landini

Landini is a firm of farm equipment and steam engines founded in 1884 by Giovanni Landini

In 1884, the Landini company is created in Fabbrico, in Italy.

It is made known after 1910 with the engine semi-diesel engine. The first tractor, Super Landini left the chains in 1925. Thereafter the range widened of L25 in L55, which was, at the time the largest semi-diesel engine of the market.

In 1955, the end of the semi-diesel engine is close, the company reconverts and manufactures English engines Perkins.

In 1959, Landini presents its first track-laying tractor C35. Landini will be the leader of this type of machines. Landini is bought by American Massey-Ferguson.

In 1968, Landini builds a new factory with Aprilia for the manufacture of machines of TP.

In 1973, the company leaves series 500, of 55 has 102 ch, then, in 1978 it upwards supplements its range until 145ch with the 14500.

In 1982, Landini proposes the first specific tractor for orchards. Landini will be leader of the worldwide market of this type of material with more than 35% of the market shares.

In 1986, Massey-Fergusson distributes under his label the Landini products on the worldwide market, out Europe.

In 1988, the company introduces on the market series 80, from the 6880 of 65ch au 9880 of 95ch. Entre time, two other tractors arrived, the 10000 and the 13000 substitute the 12500.

In 1989, Massey-Ferguson resells 66% of his actions. Landini takes again its independence.

In 1991, Landini creates a subsidiary company in France.

In February 1994, Landini is taken again by the group Morra, which becomes Argo SpA. Landini presents Légend, of 105 with 145ch.

In January 1995, Landini repurchases Italian Valpadana, specialist in the small agricultural mechanization.

In 2000, all the range is renewed, Mythos, Gibli, Globus and Atlas replaces series 80. Today Landini is the 3rd Italian manufacturer of the speciality.

Landini made its force and its reputation thanks to reliable, powerful and functional tractors.
