Land borders enter Mozambique and Tanzania
The land borders between Mozambique and Tanzania is a long Frontière international continuous 756 kilometers separating Mozambique and Tanzania in East Africa.
Layout
The border begins on banks from the Lac Malawi then takes a west-east direction. It briefly passes by the Monts Livingstone then follows the course of the river Rovuma (or Ruvuma) and this until its mouth in the Indian Ocean, in the north of the Cape Delgado.
History
This border was established between the Portuguese colony of Mozambique and the German colony of the Tanganika at the end of at the time of the division of Africa by the European powers.
Points of passage
The border is especially crossed along the coast between the Tanzanian city of Mtwara and the Mozambican locality of Quionga. No Work of art makes it possible to cross the river but a road Pont 600 meters long, the Unity bridge , is in construction between the two cities
Populations
The local population is made up mainly of Yao of confession Musulman E and Ngoni close to the lake Malawi.
