Land borders enter Germany and France
The Franco-German border is a Frontière separating the Germany and the France.
Characteristics
The Franco-German border extends on 451 km, in the east of France and the west of Germany.It begins in the North-West with the Tripoint Germany - France - Luxembourg (), with the junction of the common allemande of Perl (Land of the the Saar), of the Commune Frenchwoman of Apach (department of the the Moselle) and of the common Luxembourg of Schengen (canton of Remich). This point is located on the the Moselle.
The border follows then an head office towards the east, until the the Rhine. It then goes up the course of this one towards the south until the tripoint Germany - France - Suisse (), located on the communes of Weil-amndts-Rhein (Germany, Land of Bade-Wurtemberg), of Huningue (France, Département of Haut-Rhin) and the town of Basle (Swiss, demicanton of Basle-City).
The border separates three länder German (Bade-Wurtemberg, the Rhineland-Palatinat and the Saar) from two French areas (Alsace and Lorraine) and three departments (the Low-Rhine, Haut-Rhin and the Moselle).
History
Unification of Germany in 1871 with 1945, France and Germany were enemy and in fact, by the successive wars, the Franco-German border evolved/moved.
