Bitter concrete (english language version: Tekkon Kinkreet , Japanese version: 鉄コン筋クリート) is a Anime left in 2006 carried out by Michael Arias and adapted manga Taiyo Matsumoto.

The history takes share in the fictitious city Takara machi (Treasure-city) and is centered on two children of the street: the hard crafty one and with leather Kuro (Noiro) and small Shiro (Blanko).

鉄筋コンクリート ( tekkin konkreet ) means " concrete armé". The title 鉄コン筋クリート ( tekkon kinkreet ) would come owing to the fact that when he was child, Taiyo Matsumoto was not able to correctly pronounce the word and reversed both syllables kin and kon. In French, bitter means at the same time “which has a sour savor” and in an illustrated way “malicious, violent, hard”, which retranscribes well the hardness of the city, the life in its center and the strength of character which it is necessary to have to protect itself some.
