Lancy

Lancy is a common Suisse of the Canton of Geneva.

Geography

The commune extends between the the Rhone and the Aire. It consists of 2 localities: Petit-Lancy and Large-Lancy. Its surface is of 484,6 hectares. The commune is sitée on two plates separated by the small valley from the Surface, which runs south-west towards the North-East.

History

The first traces of habitat date from the Neolithic .

It is interesting to know that Lancy counted only 5.000 inhabitants at the beginning of the Années 1960. Its development was thus considerable during these last decades. thank you same Quilan
