Lanark
Lanark is a small town in the center of the Scotland and the principal city of the old county of Lanarkshire. Lanark has a long story, old traditions, and some parks and buildings remarkable. Lanark has lines of because and is connected by the train to Glasgow. There is little industry with Lanark. The trade serve the local agricultural community and the surrounding villages. There is a large market of auction to the periphery of the city. Certain residents go daily to Glasgow and Edinburgh to work there. The city has a serious problem of road traffic.
History
The historical municipality of Lanark was the place of the first meeting of the Scottish Parlement in 978.Lanark was an important commercial city since the Moyen-âge. The king David I {{er}} makes a royal municipality in of it 1140, giving him certain commercial privileges relating to the Gouvernement and the Imposition. King David Ier was conscious that to encourage the trade would generate prosperity. He undertook the creation of new cities through Scotland.
