Lampetra

The kind Lampetra belongs to the subfamily of the Petromyzontinae, of the family of the petromyzontidés (or lampreys).

It counts about fifteen species. The only French species is:

  • the fluviatile Lamprey ( Lampetra fluviatilis ) small, with a dress without marbling. It measures 25 to 40 cm for a weight of approximately 60 G.
