Lamonzie-Montastruc
Lamonzie-Montastruc is a common French, located in the department of the the Dordogne and the area Aquitaine.
Geography
Located in Périgord at 13 km of Bergerac, Lamonzie-Montastruc is a classified village surrounded by a bosky bower.
Étymologiquement, Lamonzie draws its name from a convent of monks called in term vulgar " country monges ". One found, by making excavations in a garden, foundations which one claims to be those of the old convent.
The village preserved an authentic character surrounded by a wooded vegetation which gives him a more wild aspect.
Local festival: August 15th. Rooms of hosts to the farm.

Castle of Bellegarde, 14th century 20th century, carries medieval and Renaissance house, restored 19th.

Castle of Montastruc, 13th century 15th century 18th century, classified, is located 200 meters at the north of the village which was at the 14th century one of the strongholds of the family of Abzac of the Twelve. Shaved in 1438, the castle was rebuilt in 1471 with the help of the tender of the widow of Bertrand d' Abzac to the royal authority. Currently private, the castle of Montastruc is an interesting building.
