Lamontélarié
Lamontélarié is a common French, located in the department of the Tarn and the area the Midday-Pyrenees.
The inhabitants are called the montéliots .
Geography
Located at the limit of the Herault on the Mounts of Lacaune. It belongs to the regional park of High Languedoc. It is good to know that it been warm there the summer from its altitude and that one finds there snow the winter:)
History
Lamontélarié comes from the Occitan of the word Montelier. It forms part with Anglès and until the end of the 18th century, of the department of Herault (diocese of Saint-Pons and Sénéchaussée of Carcassonne). It is only starting from the February 16th 1797 (28 pluviôse year V) that the canton of Angles thanks to an exchange with Saint-Gervais, was yielded to the department of the Tarn. Lamontélarié became Tarnaise then.

In this small village we can find a splendid church which has just been repaired. It dates approximately from the 17th century. As place we can discover Rouquié located beside the lake of Raviège, to 4 km of the village. The summer all the montéliots gathers there to spend good moment to the sun and to bathe.
Personalities related to the commune
In Lamontélarié, there has existed an association created for approximately 30 years called lo Monteliot. It organizes activities and animates the village during the school holidays every year.Every summer these people organize festivals in particular that of the third weekend of July and that of the contest of Pétanque which is held about on August 20th.
