Lambert II of Nantes
Lambert II of Nantes , count de Nantes, resulted from the family from the Widonides which had controlled for one half-century the steps of Brittany and the county from Nantes which was the center.
Biography

831 : after the dismissal and the exile in Italy of his/her father Ier Lambert of Nantes, in favor of Lothaire Ier, Lambert which according to the Chronicle of Nantes had been high among the Breton ones remains in the Nantes one with his/her Garnier brother.

841 : Lambert fights with the count Ricuin of Nantes which was can be become his/her father-in-law in the rows of the army of Charles the Bald person with the Bataille of Fontenoy-in-Puisaye the June 25th 841. Ricuin having been killed the county of Nantes that Lambert regarded as its legitimate heritage is entrusted by king Charles to Renaud, count d' Herbauge. Lambert gives up the party of the king and joined Nominoë.

843 : Renaud of Nantes beats Lambert of Nantes combined with Breton of Nominoé and to the Vikings of Hasting to the Bataille of Messac (?) but a little later it is beaten and killed with Blain the May 24th 843 is the " IX Kalendas junii " according to the Chronicle of Aquitaine. The Nantes ones refuse to recognize Lambert as count. This last is indeed suspected of having guided the Norman ones which it June 24th put the city at bag and kill the bishop in his cathedral. After the departure of its Lambert allies makes itself finally main from Nantes.

844 : Lambert kills in a combat the count Bernard of Poitiers and the son and successor of Renaud: Herve count d' Herbauge.

845 : At the end of October at the beginning of November, Lambert gives up the party of Nominoë and makes its tender with the king who leaves him the county of Nantes.

846 : In August Lambert is isolated the Nantes one and equipped by king Charles with the laic abbatiat with Saint-Dove with Sens. Charles the Bald person tries to impose certain Amaury as count de Nantes (846-849).

849 : Charles the Bald person points out Lambert and the Nantes one entrusts to him, the Of Rennes one and the territory in the south of the the Loire.

850 : After the August 15th, Nominoë and its Lambert ally which had made defection with the king once again, Rennes and Nantes occupy and dismantle the walls of the two cities to avoid a return of the royal forces.

851 : Lambert accompanies Nominoë in its offensive in Neustrie. After the sudden death of the Breton chief with Vendôme the March 7th 851, Lambert takes the command of the Breton army in retirement. It takes part then in with dimensions of Erispoë wire of Nominoë and new chief of Breton in the Bataille of Jengland close to the Large-Fougeray where the troops of Charles the Bald person are crushed the August 22nd. Before the end of the year an agreement is concluded between Charles the Bald person and Erispoë, this last obtains the royal title and the final transfer of the old Walk of Brittany with Rennes and Nantes. Lambert loses any hope to be established in the area.

852 : Lambert whose Dova sister was abbess of Saint-Clement to Nantes and also to Craon, tries to cut a field between bottom Maine and the Anjou but it is killed the May 1st 852 in a ambush by a Rorgonides, Gauzbert " Jeunet" , which worried about its progress in the inheritance of its family.
