Environment
The city, although densément built and inhabited wants to be green and raised and profits from the proximity of the Wood of the Citadel and the banks from the Deûle which are the subject of a more ecological management (late mowing, plantations, differentiated Gestion) since the years 2000. Some parks and gardens, and of many private gardens shelter many birds, but the bees, butterflies and many insects are in strong regression since years 1960/1970. An experiment of natural Lagunage on channel (photo opposite) is one of the first of the area and France, installation by VNF (of which part of the administration is located in the commune) in the years 1990. VNF develops a project of management restauratoire banks of channels or basins of mud deposits of clearing out, within the framework of the green Trame regional, but while having to face the colonization of certain channels by invasive species, of which in Lambersart the Moule streaked. This sample of natural infrastructure, had value of test for the regional projects of biological corridors.
Places and monuments
Lambersart is a rich and residential city since the XIXe century when many industrialists of the area established there a residence, often surrounded by a garden, near of Deûle and campaign. Urbanization due to a raised demographic pressure, and the situation in banlieu of Lille, made disappear the fields and meadows, but the city preserves an architecture which evokes that of unquestionable zone balneal of the area (Touquet, Malo baths). As in almost all the Nord/Pas-de-Calais Area area, the red brick dominates, but the style of the house is particular there.

the transmitter of Lambersart, less powerful than that of Bondues, which is that allows to the inhabitants Urban community of Lille and some peripheral zones to receive TNT since March 31st, 2005. (At the end of 2006,63% of the French population can receive the TNT, with more than 4 million bought adapters. In north, only ¼ of the population receives it because of the obstruction of the Terrestrial network and the difficulty of transborder negotiation for the use of this network). One will also note the superb architecture of the station of Municipal police , building which makes the pride of all today the lambersartois.
