Lamballe
Lamballe ( Lanball in Gallo) is a common French, located in the department of the Coast-with Armor and the area Brittany.
Geography
The town of Lamballe seems to cut out according to several sectors.-
a southern sector, true opening on outside thanks to the presence of the RN12 and SNCF railway station. One also finds there a dynamics urban important (municipal hall, workshops, St-Lazare districts), and a training center (school of Beaulieu, school of Saint-Joseph, Saint-Joseph college). The shopping mall E. Leclerc and the future industrial park in preparation will confirm the statute of this southern zone like an opening.
-
a south-eastern sector, mainly open on the east of Lamballe, with local scales. Thus, centers Intermarket at the entry of the city as well as the other local shopping malls (Distri-Center) but also sporting and cultural (center Louis Hingant, Art' L…). There exists an accessibility to SNCF railway station and the allotment of Beaulieu, which is an indirect means to connect it to the school éponyme. The sector is thus more local, but also tends to open on outside to attract the neighbouring communes (Plestan, Noyal…)
-
a western, mainly industrial sector. The Champion shopping mall is brought more closer to the center than the other shopping malls. Further, one finds large companies, like Cooperl, the Labbé body or Gouessant, which takes part largely in the economy of the city. Is the industrial district of Lamballe closest to Saint-Brieuc - for better supporting the exchanges with this one?
-
a vast northern/north-eastern sector, open, as for him on Large Lamballe. Thus, the presence of the important college Henri-April (general and professional sections), of the stage and the water level take part in the attractivity of this zone, very clearly directed towards the culture and the relaxation. The Quay of the Dreams and the public swimming pool make of this north-western sector, a new center of Lamballe. The coach station is used as opening on Large Lamballe, where SNCF railway station is used as opening on Brittany in general.
-
Lastly, a sector centers, where the activity remains regular. The presence of the college Gustave Téry, the dynamics of the new stores, local animations, the library, the National stud farm make center of Lamballe a center active and having many elements echoing the peripheral sectors (Library <-> Quai of the Dreams), to the cities of Large Lamballe (Stud farm <-> Riding school of the Pottery). The place of the Market thus corresponds to the center of the city, making almost House of the Torturer (museum Mathurin Méheust) the heart of Lamballe, owe even the town hall!
Lamballe is thus a city with the dynamic multiples which offers future prospects to the three sectors. The extension of Lamballe translates a will of " grandir" , as well economically as economically. Finally, one can perhaps see in the evolution of the city, a simple reflection of what had been outlined with Large Lamballe.
History
Area probably inhabited since the Bronze Age as lets it think the presence of the menhir of Trégomar.Lamballe is quoted to have taken part in the Révolte of the red Bonnets or Révolte of the stamped paper which has occurred in 1675.
