Lake Virelles
The lake of Virelles () is an old artificial pond dug in the North-East of Chimay, in the boot of the Hainaut, for the needs for local metallurgical industry.
Covering a surface of 125 hectares, this pond has from now on the statute of natural reserve and is attended by many walkers and as many naturalists. A center of interpretation of nature the Aquascope was inaugurated there by the prince Laurent of Belgium at the beginning of the Années 2000.
