Lake Saint-François

The Lac Saint-François is a lake located at the south-east of the Ontario, the south-west of the Quebec and the north of the state of New York. It is on the Fleuve the St. Lawrence between the Lake Ontario and Montreal. The lake belongs to the Sea route of the St. Lawrence.
The Ville of Salaberry-with-Valleyfield is at the end is lake.
The natural park of the lake Saint-François, located on southern bank of the lake, protects the wetlands in edge from the lake. The zone provides an important habitat for the fuligules to red head and others water birds. Thousands of migratory birds stop in the area. In 1987, the zone was recognized wetland of international importance by the Convention of Ramsar.
The Marais of Charlottenburgh, which include/understand the marshes Cooper is another important wetland located on northern bank of the lake.
