Lake Relative (Abitibi)

Supplied with many rivers, whose rivers Robin and Lecompte, with the North-East, and Mégiscane, in south-east, this vast lake entity with the irregular forms represents in fact a widening of the Bell, river which is thrown more to north in the Lac Matagami. Located in a marshy area of the Abitibi, with little distance to the North-East of the town of Senneterre and to approximately 65 km in the North-East of Valley-in Or, this lake has a 53 km length, a width of 6 km and a surface of almost 122 km ².
History
Toponymy
Replacing name algonquine of Chabogama or Shabogama, lake with the channels in 1921, this hydronyme pays homage to Simon-Napoleon Parent (1855 - 1920), former mayor of the town of Quebec and old Prime Minister of the Province of Quebec, for the whole of its public career.
