Lake Pielinen
The lake Pielinen , in Swedish Pielisjärvi , is a Finnish lake located in the area of Karelia of North of the Finland-Eastern province of .
Geography
With 894,21 km2 of surface, the lake Pielinen is the fourth plus the largest big lake of Finland and of the area of Karelia of North.
It is divided between the municipalities of Nurmes, Lieksa and Juuka. The downtown areas of Nurmes and Lieksa are located on bank Is, the mount Koli and the national park of the even name dominate Western bank.
The lake belongs to the basin of the Vuoksi.
