Lake Montcineyre
The lake Montcineyre is a volcanic Lac of origin located in the Massif Central, more precisely in the area Auvergne, in the department of the Puy-de-Dôme, in extreme cases between the solid mass of the Monts Gilds and that of the Cézallier, on the commune of Compains.
Located at 1 182 m of altitude, it is a storage reservoir: the Volcan Montcineyre by barring the course of a river formed this lake which has the shape of crescent, depth approximately a 18 m and a surface of 40 hectares.
